While casually walking down the street, I noticed countless cigarettes scattered beneath a sewer grate. They enlightened me once again that these days, not only smokers but people in general regard sewer crates and the environment as universal wastebaskets. Similar to how those little cigarettes and trash accumulate and become mountains, habitual disposal of trash, imprudent construction, and wasteful energy usage have all led up to today’s polluted earth. I wished to alert others of this by showing them the polluted world beneath the sewer cate.

Even though I was born and bred in Jeju Island, all of my relatives are from Seoul, the capital of Korea. Therefore, I regularly stay at Seoul during school breaks. Apparently, Seoul is very industrialized and always bustles with people, but it’s not just another noisy or chaotic metropolis. Rather, there’s a distinct atmosphere deriving from how people socialize and live amongst themselves. I thought the melody and lyrics of Dean’s “Half Moon” conveyed this atmosphere well, so I produced “Half Moon”’s lyric video with footages of Seoul in the background.
